I'd be curious if there is data on that. A lower stock price doesn't matter if the company makes lots of profits and you get paid well. It feels a bit like confirmation bias mixed with wishful thinking.

There are many reasons that the price of a stock directly affects the company. And you should know that. Don’t invest in detestable industries.
