🎩 [ Monthishly Mentor ] October - manhood, bingeable show, batteries, help and more
This is a preview example of an old newsletter
NOTE: this is a copy of last month’s Montly Mentor, an email that used to be email-only and non-public. I am reposting it here so new subscribers see what my non-crypto content is like.
Hello there,
This is the Monthishly Mentor for October.
[ Personal ] The project I've been working on with my brother is launching soon. It's crypto related, you can view the website here.
[ Read ] The Way of the Superior Man: A Spiritual Guide to Mastering the Challenges of Women, Work, and Sexual Desire (link) - This was a weird read. A lot of the content is strongly phrased and stereotyped, think "men find purpose through direction, women find purpose through feeling" kind of stuff. While the way of writing didn't always agree with me, a lot of it left me thinking and actually was very productive in figuring out how I feel about things, as well as fun conversations with my wife.
[ Watch ] Hazbin Hotel (link) - I love this show. Binged it in a single day, which rarely happens. You'll either love it or hate it. It's like a fusion of a classic hero's journey meets happy tree friends meets broadway musical meets the internet. I have a thing for musical music, so have been listening to the soundtracks on spofity for weeks now.
[ Buy ] Panasonic eneloop rechargable batteries (link) - I use 2 kinds of rechargable aa and aaa batteries: low voltage classic ones and regular voltage usb c ones. The usb c rechargable ones have a voltage of 1.5v which is normal. Great for everything from smart radiators to tv remotes. Classic rechargable batteries with large capacities have a lower voltage (1.2v usually) which are great for things that are "dumber" like electronic candles and stuff.
[ Favor ] POLL: should I start blogging/podcasting again? (link) - I want to potentially write/record again. Tell me what you like about this email (and/or my other content) through this poll! I would be SUPER grateful for your opinion!
Mentor’s note: if you are reading this on Substack the poll resulted in “yes start writing again”
If you have any questions or comments feel free to hit reply on this email!
Have a great day,
Mentor Palokaj
