This is the Month Mentor of November 2024.
[ Personal ] the past months have been a bit intense with work with systems we were working with not living up to their promises. That combined with a deep feeling of wanting to live up to the expectations of my little brother (who is my employer in this project) has been a bit of a load. On the flip side, I’m having fun building stuff. If you’re a crypto person, this is the project we’re building now.
[ Read ] Stablecoin Update Q3 2024 (link) - stablecoins are crypto tokens that maintain 1:1 value to a regular currency like the dollar. Their usage has grown IMMENSELY. This report was made by a crypto analytics firm to give an overview of how they are developing.
[ Watch ] What the Upcoming Geomagnetic Reversal Will Do to Earth (link) - someone in a podcast I was listening to casually mentioned “the magnetic poles are shifting about 80km per year”. I thought that was bullshit. Turns out pole shifts are actually something we know quite a bit about! And they can have huge consequences.
[ Buy ] Flir One Thermal Imaging Camera (link) - I’ve been wanting to analyse the thermal insulation of my house for a while now, and this little thermal camera hooks into my phone, and makes a nifty thermal image that I’m using to find “heat leaks” in my home that I should insulate.
